Firstly, during this process, you must get a job in the Netherlands from an employer recognized as a sponsor by the Dutch Immigration and Naturalization Service (IND). Then, the employer applies for your Residence permit
Once the employee is in the Netherlands, it is important to ensure that they hold a valid residence permit at all times. Therefore, they must continuously stay in the Netherlands for the required period, typically 5 years, to be eligible for naturalization.
It is required to fulfill the various integration requirements, which include passing a Dutch civic integration exam and demonstrating an understanding of the Dutch language, society, and labor market. Ensure compliance with other requirements, such as having no criminal record.
Once all of the residency and integration requirements are met, the employee can apply for Dutch citizenship. The application must be submitted to the local municipality. Included in the application is an application and various other necessary documents. Approval could take up to several months. Once the application has been approved, the employee has to attend a naturalization ceremony.
